In an industry littered with artists’ but scarce on pure talent, a change from the present without a gift. Skeme is destined for super stardom. If you could take a unique voice, witty wordplay, the most intense performances, and neck-snapping beats, blend it all together, and inject it into the blood stream of a charismatic substance from the streets of Irvington, NJ, you’d still only have a small piece of the master puzzle that is Skeme.

It all began on September of 1986 in Newark, NJ. Born to parents that were highly involved in the music field. Skeme naturally acquired their talent and appreciation for music. He was born with this distinct talent in his DNA, and from these genes, musical masterpieces would be born. He spent his childhood closely knit to his family. Crime, violence, and life’s everyday struggles moved them from Newark, to Hillside, and finally to Irvington. His experiences in these cites inspired him to verbally paint true pictures of the hood from his vivid, unique point of view…SK loved music more than anything and grew up around multiple genres of it, quick to grasp the theory of the word, “Music.”

At the age of 16, he grew bored of the hip-hop scene at the time and decided that all hip-hop sounded alike. He knew he could advance than the other rappers out at the time. Armed with a small amount of music production hardware, software, and a notebook, he spent countless hours daily, waking up before school to well into the wee hours of the next morning making beats and writing songs/concepts…changing his whole aspect on what career he wanted to pursue.

Quick to learn, with passion to absorb knowledge – the rare individual that listened more and talked less. Early on, he understood the way life worked, both inside and outside poverty, thus taking the time to balance both his book smarts and street smarts equally. There were plenty of difficulties he’d overcome and risen above, maturing him way before his time. He learned to be business minded, and pushed to be a go-getter even in the worst of times…Such as when his father and mother separating at the age of 12 in addition to loss of several close friends and family members. Through everything that happened Skeme kept perseverance towards his dream and used this pain for fuel to his goals.

Later, at age 22, He became a CEO, Producer & Rap Artist of his own company, Elektrik ill Ent.

Time introduced him to a few people that showed him about survival and the things they did to feed their family. He began to work with new artists forming duo’s, achieving more versatility which aimed him at the target of perfection. Hood Regime: Welcome to the Hood, which he sold thousands over NJ. Plus, The CryTearia which is still a working project..In 2004-2005, he attended IAR in New York and graduated certified for audio engineering and sound production. Since 2003, He has produced over 400 exclusive beats, written over 300 songs, and engineered/recorded with & for several upcoming artist including Gorilla Pimp Rec and Lady Luck from Def Jam. Artists such as Montana, Big-O, B. Brixx, Ess-Vee, & Fortune just to name a few. Through his amazing songwriting ability, he has mastered his unique flow and delivery (a deep, catchy voice, in the pocket, eastern and dirty south swag delivery.)

2010 will begin a new revolution in music/entertainment as Skeme prepares his debut album, Bar Exam: Laws of Flow & A Trip To Paradi$e Mixtape Album, on his entertainment label. Elektrik ill Ent. “Soon the world will have the food from hip-hop it has truly been hungry for. No matter what you do to prepare yourself for that, you are not ready for this!”
